Masculine Elegance at its Best

The famous Woolloomooloo wharf, with its mix of modernized chic and tough industrial heritage was transformed last night into an elegant masculine space, and became the perfect setting to host the launch of the latest timepiece from the Maison, Calibre de Cartier.

 

Celebrating yet another milestone from the Maison, arising from a history rich with the creation of great watch making icon, Calibre de Cartier is the result of Cartier's passionate commitment in creating a masculine timepiece with a unique automatic movement that will become a reference for watch connoisseurs and people who appreciate the values of fine watch making.

 

This high profile and much-anticipated event drew Cartier guests from across the country to include celebrities, high society, industry movers & shakers, watch collectors, VIP clients & members of the media.

 

Celebrity guests included; actor and model April Rose-Pengilly, fashion designer Bowie Wong, Harper's Bazaar editor Edwina McCann, style queen Emma Elizabeth, designer and DJ GRAZ Mulchay, model and nightclub owner Julian Tobias, author and media personality Kathryn Eisman and VOGUE editor in chief Kirstie Clements well known for their passion towards fine craftsmanship and creativity. Also present, Hugo's Group's Dave Evans, top model Kristy Coulcher, GQ editor Nick Smith, media mogul Siimon Reynolds, Australian supermodel Tanya G and English rugby players Nick Easter, Richard Windle and Ugo Monye.

 

 

Guests, dressed to the theme of "Elegant Black & White" in tune with the iconic colors of the Cartier dials, were greeted by the Calibre de Cartier photo-wall which provided a stylish backdrop for their entrance. Then they were ushered through the mysterious tunnel-like entrance, beginning their journey into the intricacies of the timepiece movement, with the entire experience heightened by the ticking sound of the watch heartbeat echoing through.

 

Once inside, guests entered in a circular room, much like the movement itself, where all the new timepieces were presented in their individual round showcases. Unveiled in all its different finishes, the Calibre de Cartier collection proudly showed its elegance and robustness under the spotlights, to the sound of a modern-jazz tune.
