Last night, Thursday 22nd October, contemporary Parisian jewellery label, Skalli Paris celebrated its inaugural arrival in Australia with a chic event by invitation only at Sydney’s exclusive IVY Penthouse.
Hosted by famed Australian fashion stylist, CLEO contributing fashion editor and Sass + Bide chief accessories designer, Pip Edwards a glamorous set glided into the IVY Penthouse to discover ‘The Art of Skalli Printemps/Ete 2009/2010’ collection with a live instillation of Vivien’s Model Management models dripping in the exquisite jewellery.
Fresh from a direct flight from Paris, designer and founder of Skalli Paris, Jean-Marc Skalli took the opportunity to officiate ceremonies with a brief but heartfelt speech thanking his principal sponsors, the assembled guests and the Australian public for a warm to welcome to his favourite destination outside of his hometown of Provence, France.
A cavalcade of Australian identities turned out to lend their support and welcome the popular European jeweller to Australia including; Sydney based creative Alex Zabotto-Bentley, Sydney socialite Belinda Matheson, BLACKSTREET R&B star Chauncey Hannibal, famed fashion photographer Chris Ferguson, celebrity hair stylist and DJ Christian Lomas, fashion model Franziska Gorrow, Merivale CEO Justin Hemmes, artist Mary Shackman, managing director of De Nom/Ruby Rabbit Matt Buckland, VOGUE fashion editor Meg Grey, author and media personality Natalie Michaels, fashion ‘it girl’ and stylist Pip Edwards and fashion designer Tara Williams.
