TNA works with new client An Ode to No One

TNA has just started working with new client An Ode to No One.

For Autumn Winter 2010, the designer Adi’s An Ode to No One collection will empower women to show their beauty and strength. The muse inspiring the futuristic aesthetic and strong silhouettes of the new collection is Tilda Swinton’s character, the White Witch from The Chronicles of Narnia. Her potent beauty is translated through Adi’s talented use of construction, detailing and colour.

Space like silhouettes are central to the collection. There is a focus on silk. Dresses are shaped to form defined shoulders, elaborate necklines and neat short hems, while skirts are draped into beautiful tulip shapes. Razor sharp jackets, made from the finest merino wool, have fierce shoulders and double collars to complement the dresses and skirts. The jackets also pair bewitchingly with futuristic panelled leggings. The must-have accessory is a pair of leather fingerless gloves with hand-stitched studs, able to toughen up the softest of looks.

Details convey the aura of the White Witch. Mandarin style necklines on dresses create a vision of power while hand stitched silk roses on sleeveless blouses are a metaphor for the woman wearing An Ode To No One, she is beautiful yet dangerous.

Adi further empowers his wearer to create individual looks by incorporating duality in his detailing. Zip details allow the wearer to unzip sleeves revealing new lengths. The clever use of press-studs allows the wearer to morph asymmetrical dresses into new shapes. Additionally, Kimono inspired dresses can be worn multiple ways.

The 40-piece range is bonded through the succinct winter colour palette. This palette is a potent combination of black and white, with added inclusions of midnight blue, box red and gunmetal grey. Adi has designed black and white geometric prints, which add a visual hit to the collection. The acute eye of photographer Edward Burtynsky and his work titled Shipyard #11 inspires these bold geometric prints.
